A fond memory I have is spring time during my childhood years. My teachers would make the inevitable illustration of a new flower pushing its way up through the rough soil, fighting to break through and finally stand in its intended beauty. They would point out that unless this flower experienced the struggle and hardships of pushing through the ground, it never would have become what it was intended to be, that the difficulty was rewarded in the end. So it is with Christians. It is a battle to stand up and do what's right. The difficulties we face are, at times, merciless. Yet Isaiah 61:11, says that God will reward the righteous for enduring.
REMINDERS:
Spring is here and with it comes the warmer weather. There are still days that are chilly so please be aware of what your child need to wear. For now, students who wear long sleeve shirts do not have to wear a sweater or jacket. Those with short sleeves must still wear something warmer over it. This will probably only be until we have consistently warmer temperatures.

Also, please remember to allow your child at least 9hrs of uninterrupted sleep at night and a good, hearty breakfast in the morning. This will help keep them well and provide the energy needed throughout the day.

Our class has 2 prayer requests they would like you to pray for.
1. Please pray for our military. One of our very own dads has been deployed and will be gone til the end of the school year. Please pray that God keeps him safe and alert. Pray that the family will lean on God and make His strength their own while "dad" is gone.
2. Please pray for our school. We want to be a good example the people around us of how Christians should act but it get hard. We need your prayers that we would remember who we serve.
